FREEDOM HOUSE Discipleship school

True discipleship is essential for building a life deeply rooted in Christ. Freedom House Discipleship School is an 11-month discipleship program designed to strengthen your understanding and love of God’s Word, deepen your relationship with Jesus, and cultivate a close fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to equip passionate sons and daughters to carry the love of Jesus into their homes, schools, communities, workplaces, and even to the nations—transforming lives through His love.

What to Expect During These 11 Months

Biblical Teaching

Each week, you will sit under multiple teaching sessions led by our team. We are committed to placing the Word of God before you as much as possible because it reveals the character and nature of Jesus. Scripture is our life source—it is living and active, nourishing our spirit, exposing our hearts, and strengthening our faith.

A Life of Prayer

You will spend several hours in prayer each week, both individually and corporately. Developing a strong prayer life is essential for every believer. Prayer fuels the body of Christ, aligns our hearts with God’s presence, and deepens our connection with His voice. Just as Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them to pray, we too seek to grow in this foundational practice.

Worship & Ministering to the Lord

We deeply value the presence of God and the practice of ministering to Him. Throughout the program, you will engage in times of worship multiple times a week—offering praise, exaltation, and adoration to Jesus Christ. Worship is not just a practice; it is a lifestyle of surrender and intimacy with God.

Evangelism & Outreach

Over the course of 11 months, you will take part in multiple evangelism and outreach opportunities. We believe in partnering with local churches to serve the community, engaging in street evangelism, and being the hands and feet of Jesus in our city. Sharing the Gospel and demonstrating His love in practical ways is a core part of our mission.

Missional Maintenance

Each week, you will join your peers in practical service through Missional Maintenance—caring for the ministry property and engaging in hands-on tasks. These moments provide an opportunity for discipleship, spiritual growth, and reflection as God works in our hearts through the tangible tasks before us.

International Missions

The culmination of your discipleship journey will be a two-month international trip, where you will put into practice all that you have learned. This experience will challenge and stretch you as you step out in faith to love, serve, and minister to people from different cultures and backgrounds.

FAQs

What About the Extra Hours Outside of the 20–25 Hours of Discipleship School?

Beyond the 20–25 hours per week dedicated to discipleship school, you will be required to have a part-time job. This helps cultivate balance—learning to pursue God while managing real-world responsibilities like work, finances, and personal commitments. It’s an opportunity to develop practical skills while continuing to grow spiritually.

What Are the Living Accommodations?

You will reside in the bunkhouse on our ministry property, a dedicated space designed specifically for FHDS students. Your living accommodations will include:

• A bunk room with designated male and female sections

• A small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, oven/stove, and dishwasher

• Shared bathrooms

• Access to common areas and the scenic beauty of our property

Our goal is to provide a community-centered environment where you can grow in faith, fellowship, and discipleship.
