Jack Clark
In January of 2024 I encountered Jesus in Boston, Massachusetts. How God managed to chase me down in a city that is 3% Christian, while my life was plagued with sin, still baffles me. By another miracle I found out about AFM a few months later and the Lord called me to Africa that summer. I experienced true Spirit led discipleship and I witnessed the profound impact of the Gospel, and it deeply transformed my life. I also fell in love with the Zambian people and felt deep compassion for their circumstances.
After getting back to the U.S, I returned to Boston to finish my degree in Finance and Data Science at Northeastern University. This final semester was unique. I was walking amongst my peers as a completely new person than when I had left, and I was returning to an extremely fast-paced society. I quickly began grappling with plans for after graduation. I had an amazing potential opportunity to work in Project Management at a real estate firm in Boston. This company was building high level projects that were truly making an impact, but I felt little peace about pursuing the job. I felt deep down that God wanted me somewhere else right now. I knew that He would use my degree and real estate experience eventually, but I could see the beauty in trusting His timing. About a month into the semester, I got a call from AFM inviting me to attend their new discipleship school. It became incredibly clear to me that this was where the Lord wanted me to go.
My desire is to use everything I have to glorify God and serve the people He loves. To lay down my life for the gospel’s sake because the sheer beauty of what Jesus has done for us is truly worth it. This opportunity to sit at the feet of Jesus and immerse myself in His scripture means everything to me. I believe God is going to use every minute of this time to prepare me for a life of service and impact in the Kingdom of God, whether that is through full-time ministry, real estate development, or something totally different. Please consider supporting me in this endeavor!
