Levi & Kaitlyn Kendall
We recently got married in May of 2024 and are so excited to head to Charleston to start this new chapter in our lives!
After meeting on a dating app and sharing our testimonies of what the Lord has done in our lives on our first date, we have seen God move in mighty ways over the entirety of our relationship. God has revealed Himself time and time again and has convicted us as we have grown deeper together in intimacy with the Lord.
Over the past year, God has put missions on our hearts. Just a few months ago, our current lease was ending, and we applied for an apartment that had all of our boxes checked - yet when we got accepted, we didn't have peace about signing the lease and staying in Minnesota for another year. We did not necessarily know what that meant for us at the time, but after continuous prayer and worship to the Lord, He placed FHDS in our path and on our hearts.
We have been called to let go of the plans we have for our lives, such as the comfortability and stability we have in our jobs, being close to family, and being in a close community; to truly surrender our plans to the Lord and let Him have His way and His will over our lives. He has given us passions and desires to serve Him and others in any and all ways that we can. God has been revealing to us that He doesn't call the equipped, but He equips the called, and we are so eager to step into this calling.
There is a song by LO Worship, called Open, and the lyrics have really spoken to us; "I lay my life down on Your altar / I want Your will and nothing less / This is the death of my ambitions / I know Your ways are always best / I leave my heart open / Open to You / I'm holding back nothing / Nothing from You.'" These lyrics have reminded us to lay every desire, struggle, and everything that we go through down at Jesus' feet and know that He will provide what we need in abundance.
Through this new season in our lives, we are excited to be poured into during our time in Charleston through worship, prayer, mentorship, and discipleship; so that we can go out and allow our cup to overflow to others (Psalm 23). We are beyond excited about all the opportunities that the Lord has for us to share the gospel with people all around South Carolina and Zambia. John 15:5 is a staple verse for our marriage, and it says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." We are excited for the Lord to use us as we remain in Him during this season.
As we step into this calling the Lord has given us, we want to thank you all in advance for partnering with us through continuous prayer and support.
God Bless,
Levi & Kaitlyn Kendall
